From mid-May, we used every available communication channel to convince people that it is worth travelling in the rhythm of eco... We encouraged everyone to choose Małopolska and visit it in accordance with the principles of ecotourism, respecting nature and the landscape’s natural environment, culture and history of the region, and to choose ecological means of transport, local products and cozy atmospheric accommodation.
Throughout the summer tourist season, to visitors of visitmalopolska.pl as well as malopolska.pl and mot.krakow.pl, and to those following the region's social media, we served a huge dose of inspiration and ideas for trips beyond the main routes in every corner of Małopolska. We advised not only where to go and what to see, but also what to eat, how to organise time creatively and interestingly for children, where to look for unique accommodation and above all how to relax in accordance with the principles of ecotourism. Our Eco-guide, Magdalena Petryna – a Beskid mountain guide, nature educator and bolero – has shared and will continue to share her knowledge and vast experience in unhurried, careful and responsible travel.
We also encouraged eco-trips around Małopolska on Radio Kraków and Radio RMF FM, where we provided the winners of the competition for the best eco-destinations in Małopolska with unforgettable experiences and the opportunity to look at Małopolska from a completely different perspective... namely, during a hot-air balloon flight. You could also read a lot about the campaign and ecotourism in Gazeta Krakowska and the regional portal KRKnews.pl – all this to convince as many recipients as possible to travel in the rhythm of eco.
And even now, when the bike or kayak is already stored away for the winter and we think more about preparations for the ski season, plans for Christmas or holidays spent in the mountains, the maintenance of skis and cleaning the sledge, remember that you are always an ecotourist, regardless of the season of the year, selected destination or weather conditions. Nature will be grateful to us for every gesture and behaviour that will save its beauty and integrity.
